Giddeon Massie Track Cycling

Training Residence: Los Angeles, CA
Education: Faith Christian Academy
- 2-time Olympian
- 16-time National Champion
Giddeon played baseball and basketball growing up, but his Dad got him interested in cycling. Even at age 10, when his Dad took him along on rides with a cycling club, Giddeon was able to keep up with the adults. His dream was to become an Olympian and cycling soon became his focus and passion. Giddeon won his first Junior National title at age 15 and participated in his first Olympic games at age 23 in Athens in 2004.
Giddeon believes that it’s important for athletes to be good role models and that means working hard, staying true to your goals, overcoming obstacles and especially clean, honest and fair competition.
When not on his bike, Giddeon likes to go to the movies, hang out with family and watch tennis and car racing on TV. He sometimes even picks up his clarinet, which he’s played since the 5th grade.
