Alex came to Classroom Champions after serving as COO of Civic Advisors, a social impact strategy and consulting firm where she helped with communications, digital strategy, organizing, engagement, events, and advocacy strategy. Previously, Alex worked with local and state elected leaders from across the country as Policy Advisor and Special Assistant to the Director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs.  Alex also worked in the Office of White House Counsel and Office of Public Engagement.  Before getting into politics, outreach and social impact, Alex spent time in the sports world working in communications at the United States Olympic Committee, as a coach and teacher at St. Paul's School in London, and as a sports reporter at The Washington Times.

Alex is a proud Harvard graduate where she also holds the record for most sports teams covered as a sports reporter (41).  While at Harvard, Alex was also a coxswain on the men’s rowing team going undefeated in regular season racing and winning a silver and bronze medal at Nationals Championships. She continues to cox boats in the US and internationally.
