Dr. Rhiannon MacDonnell is Assistant Professor in Marketing at University of Lethbridge in Calgary, Canada. Rhiannon’s research is featured in top journals including Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, and Journal of Consumer Research.
Named to Calgary’s Top 40 Under 40 and Marketing Magazine’s 30 Under 30, Rhiannon completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Alberta School of Business and an internship at the United Nations Department of Management in New York City. She holds a PhD and MSc from the University of Calgary, and a BA from the University of Waterloo.
Rhiannon’s research on technology-mediated communication, personality and teamwork, and socially positive or “pro-social” behaviors like recycling, ethical products, and charitable giving has been awarded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada at the Masters, Doctoral, Post-Doctoral and National Grant levels. She was also named an honorary Killam Scholar by the prestigious Killam Trust, and received the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Learning and Teaching.
Rhiannon was a founding member of the Classroom Champions Board of Directors in Canada, served on the Board of Directors of United Way of Calgary and Area and the City Centre for Charity Effectiveness Trust Board of Trustees, and currently leads program evaluation and impact measurement at Classroom Champions International. She also currently serves as the Vice Chair for the Women’s Leadership Council at the United Way of Calgary and Area.
