Ginny is an Education Coordinator here at Classroom Champions. She focuses her support on teachers in the sunny and diverse city of Los Angeles. Initially a business major, early in her career she moved to education with a desire to focus on urban education in high needs and low socio-economic communities.
After attaining a Masters of Childhood and Special Education from New York University, she started work as a Special Education teacher in a Chicago charter school serving children with various learning needs, including focusing on social-emotional outcomes. Aiming to broaden her impact, she joined a non-profit organization as an instructional coach replatforming low performing Chicago Public Schools. There, she supported teachers in academic and social-emotional curriculum development, researched and helped implement modern industry best practices, and provided consistent professional development and real-time coaching. She is excited to continue guiding teachers with Classroom Champions as they inspire and challenge their students to succeed socially and emotionally, becoming productive and responsible global citizens.
In her other less thankful job, Ginny is a mother to two vivacious, witty daughters. She and her husband spend their leisure time sharing their love of travel, sports, and different cuisines with the little monsters.
