Tyson Langelaar

Tyson is a 2022 Beijing Olympian competing in long track speed skating for Team Canada. One of the most decorated junior level skaters of the past decade, he has quickly risen the ranks to become a middle distance contender on the international stage.Tyson captured six World Junior Championship medals from 2016-2018 as well as six medals for Team Manitoba at the Canada Winter Games, including four gold in 2019. He made his World Cup debut in 2018/2019 and won three medals the following season.Tyson was named Speed Skating Canada’s long track Rising Star in 2017 and received the Roland Michener Award at the 2019 Canada Winter Games, given to the athlete who exemplifies leadership, cooperation and excellence during the Games.
