Andrea had never considered rowing until, in 2013 over Thanksgiving dinner, a family friend suggested she try it. Already 27, with no sporting background, and an established career in Hotel Management, this seemed like a crazy idea (and aren't those the best kind). So, Andrea put her vocation on hold to jump headfirst into her new adventure. Within 5 years, she won the Canadian National Rowing Championships (2016), medaled silver (2018) and bronze (2019) at World Cup 3, and competed at the World Championships (2018). Andrea JUST earned a gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games! When not competing around the world, she trains with the Canadian National Rowing Team in Victoria BC.
