Jesse Cockney

Jesse is a native of Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories, and is proud of his Indigenous heritage as an Inuvialuit. He is a three time Canadian Winter Games gold medalist in cross-country skiing. Jesse also represented Canada at the 2014 and 2018 Olympic Winter Games. Jesse is now retired from the sport, but is continuing his education at the University of Calgary.Jesse loves to fly-fish in streams and alpine lakes in the spring, summer and fall with his Canmore training mates. Jesse’s dad and sister both competed for Team Canada too – both in cross country skiing.
