Mimi Rahneva

Born in Bulgaria, Mimi is a world-class skeleton racer who immigrated to Canada at age ten. She began playing sports as a means of making friends and learning English, and went on to achieve numerous titles for herself. Mimi started as a rugby player at University before switching to bobsleigh and then skeleton. She earned a bronze medal at the Lake Placid World Cup, a gold medal at the St. Moritz World Cup, and is ranked third overall in the world for skeleton. Currently, she is on the Canadian National Team and represented Canada at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games.
